Being a "theatre couple" ourselves we easily dreamt of what it would have been like to be Lynn and Alfred's guests there and the smell of good food crept into our imaginations for sure... Your pie would have fit in perfectly there although I think that Lynn and Alfred would have grown the pumpkin there and canned it in the canning room fresh! I loved that canning room... Now it seems that I will have to take the rather large pumpkin on my doorstep and do some baking myself! My kiddos will surely help... Right? I loved visiting TEN CHIMNEYS this summer with my hubs!
